About

Welcome to the official home site of the series Even Dragons Need Rescuing by me, Stephanie Goulter.

I was inspired to write the series based on fond memories of short bedtime stories my mother made up for me when I was seven. In her stories the little dragon changed colours to show his feelings and he had a definite grumpy streak. Princess Marietta and her older sister Annabel lived with their governess a very long way from anywhere in the stories my mother told me, so I kept the girls’ names as a starting point and the geography. Princess Annabel studying engineering to help her country was my mother’s idea!

I make creative content in my spare hours – I’ve worked in all sorts of jobs, and I’ve been a teacher for almost a decade now. Phew! I live in the countryside and enjoy music, art, cups of tea, swimming, walking between trees and talking to horses and ponies. I even make my own clothes!

In this precious little space of a website you’ll find poster art and e-books from the series Even Dragons Need Rescuing to purchase and download. The e-books are also available in English on Amazon Kindle, Google Play Books and iTunes and in Mandarin (Simplified) on Google Play Books and iTunes, if you’re more comfortable with those e-reader formats. The Mandarin language version was translated by James Li, Sydney, a NAATI translator.

The first book is called Even Dragons Need Rescuing and it’s available in English and Mandarin (Simplified) on this website’s page e-books. The stories are aimed at children between eight and fourteen, or other dragon enthusiasts, and are short chapter books like Wings of Fire or Land of Stories. Downloadable story posters are available on this website’s page Story Art.

The second book in the series is called At Dragon School, it’s currently in production. Stay tuned as more content is released!
